Job Description

Our client is looking for a suitable candidate to fill the role of Financial Manager at their Cato Ridge branch. This incumbent will be reporting to the Chief Operations Officer and must be immediately available. The main function of this position is to be responsible for all accounting functions for the branch.

The key tasks & responsibilities for this position are to:
Ensuring that all accounting/admin systems are properly adhered to
Responsible for local Debtors and creditors department
Prepare sundry payments
Responsible for refund of expenses
Responsible for petty cash management (Head Office and Regional Offices)
Writing up of cashbooks
Understanding statutory requirements
Ensuring that official records are accurately and timeously maintained
Prepare general ledger schedules and analysis and reconciliations
Bank reconciliations, import costing, job costings
General administration
Provide assistance to the Branch Managers and directors

The key educational requirements and qualifications for this position would be:
BCom degree in Finance with 2 years of accounting experience, management experience beneficial
Computer literate with advanced Excel skills
K8 experience advantageous

Manufacturing / commercial experience highly advantageous, even if during audit
Preferably someone close to the area

CA (SA) or CIMA required

Salary: R750 000pa plus fuel card
