Leading guided nature drives, walks, and interpretive experiences, ensuring guest safety, engagement, and education at all times.
You will interpret local flora, fauna, birdlife, and ecosystems, sharing meaningful insights that enhance each guest's connection to the environment.
In addition to guiding, the role includes hosting guests, assisting with lodge activities, and supporting day-to-day lodge operations when required.
You will work closely with lodge management and fellow team members to uphold service standards, maintain vehicles and equipment, and ensure compliance with reserve protocols and safety standards.
This position suits a well-rounded guide with strong communication skills, a calm and professional presence, and a genuine passion for conservation, sustainability, and guest experience.
FGASA qualification or relevant guiding/nature interpretation certification
Valid PDP and First Aid certification
Proven experience guiding guests in a lodge, reserve, or nature-based environment
Strong knowledge of Western Cape ecosystems, flora, fauna, and birdlife
Excellent communication and guest interaction skills
Professional conduct and presentation
Ability to work independently and as part of a small team
Valid work rights in South Africa
