Our client, an exclusive luxury nature reserve and boutique lodge located in the Western Cape, is seeking a dynamic and committed couple to join their team.
This unique opportunity is suited to an experienced Field Guide partnered with a Reservations / Administrative professional, both of whom are passionate about hospitality, nature conservation, and delivering highly personalised guest experiences.
This is a live-in position, ideal for a couple looking to work together in a tranquil, conservation-focused environment while contributing to both guest-facing and operational aspects of a luxury lodge.
Description
Field Guide Responsibilities:
The Field Guide will be responsible for leading guided nature drives and walks, interpreting the local flora, fauna, birdlife, and ecosystems for guests. You will ensure guest safety at all times while delivering engaging, informative, and memorable nature experiences. Additional duties include vehicle care, equipment checks, and assisting with guest hosting when required.
Reservations / Admin Responsibilities:
The Reservations & Admin partner will manage guest bookings, respond to enquiries, handle confirmations, invoicing, and guest correspondence. You will support general lodge administration, assist with guest arrivals and departures, maintain accurate records, and liaise closely with management to ensure seamless operations and guest satisfaction.
Both roles require flexibility, professionalism, and a strong team mindset, with occasional cross-departmental support as needed in a small, high-end lodge environment.
Minimum Requirements
Field Guide

  • FGASA qualification or relevant guiding certification
  • Valid PDP and First Aid
  • Previous guiding experience in a lodge or reserve environment
  • Strong knowledge of Western Cape ecosystems
  • Confident, guest-centric communication skills
Reservations / Admin
  • Previous reservations or hospitality administration experience
  • Strong computer literacy (email, reservations systems, MS Office)
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills
  • Detail-oriented and service-driven
Both
  • Valid work rights in South Africa
  • Professional presentation and attitude
  • Ability to work independently and as a team
  • Willingness to live on site
