EXTERNAL SALES EXECUTIVE HDPE AND GCL LINERS Stikland - R18 to R22K CTC Per Month
Supply and installation of HDPE liner, as well as, other Geosynthetic materials such as Geotextiles, Geosythetical Clay Liners (GCLs), Gundrain (Drainage Membranes), Geocells, Geogrids and HDPE Drainage Pipes seek a technically minded External Sales Executive to sell across the Construction and Agricultural sectors, but with particular focus on Packaging.
Salary would be around R 18-22K CTC per month, we would in all likelihood engage on an LDC (certainly a 3-month probation). No further benefits on the LDC, if permanently appointed, pension and CA offered, medical aid would be optional and for own account.
Establishing and Maintaining Relationships:
Maintain and increase market share
Adhere to the planning and reporting procedures as set out by the BM to ensure maximum profitability for the branch
Contact regular and prospective customers to demonstrate product features and benefits and solicit orders
Quote prices, credit or contract terms, warranties and delivery dates
Consult with clients after sales to resolve problems and provide ongoing support
Identify prospective clients using directories, following leads, and gathering market intel.
Cold calling to potential clients
Selling / Convincing Clients to Buy Merchandise:
Ensure that sales targets are met at optimum margins
Recommend products to customers based on customer needs and interests
Plan, assemble and stock products for retail stores, or make recommendations to retailers regarding promotions and advertising
Ensure regular visibility in the market and with clients
Communication (Internal / External):
Provide input for customers/markets for the annual branch budget
Provide detailed information on competitor activity in markets
Answer customer questions about products, pricing, availability, product uses, alternatives and credit terms
Promote teamwork with branch
Engage with branch finance controllers regarding the management of debtor accounts
Resolving Conflict and Negotiations:
Ensure that all customer complaints are immediately attended to with a report back to client and branch
Resolve all grievances in a timely and professional manner
Organizing, Planning and Prioritizing:
Develop specific goals and plans to prioritize, organize and accomplish work
Monitor processes, Materials and Surroundings:
Monitor market conditions, market and competitor pricing and products
Performing Reasonable and Ad/Hoc Tasks as Requested by BM:
Performing these tasks in a timely and professional manner
Adhering to company policies and procedures
Stocktake
Collecting samples from customers/suppliers etc.

Pursue identified target markets and report back to BM
