Job Specification
Reporting into the Director Human Resources, the incumbent will be responsible for all compensation, funds, and benefit programs. Develops, implements, and monitors remuneration policies, systems, and procedures, making recommendations to senior management regarding same. Responsible for the preparation of statutory returns relating to tax, social and regulatory obligations to the relevant government departments or local authorities. Prepares and follows HR budget including any collective bargaining agreements.
Minimum Requirements

• National Diploma related to remuneration/compensation field
• 8 Years extensive remuneration & benefits experience in a retail and/or agricultural retail related industry of which 5 years as Head of a Remunerations Department
• Advanced knowledge and experience in employment & compensation, and tax laws
• Advanced knowledge and experience in Pension Fund Administration
• Excellent MS Office and payroll operating systems experience. Experience with SAGE 300 operating systems will be an advantage

Optimisation

• Payroll Administration: Lead all aspects of pay administration including preparation, documentation and disbursement of all payroll cheques and payroll taxes
• Pension Fund Administration: Lead all aspects of fund administration including withdrawals, retirements, and deaths
• Benefits Administration: Delivers high quality HR products and services for the organisation including medical aid administration. Provides human resources benefits guidance to internal and external customers, in a timely and courteous manner
• Governs internal company policies, procedures, processes, and external regulations and legislation as it relates to the remuneration & benefits environment

Leveraging Culture & Diversity

• Ability to lead a high impact team and collaborate with different stakeholders
• Building trusting relations and inspire relations amongst the internal and external stakeholders

Digital Transformation

• Drive the automation/optimization of remuneration and benefits processes and control platforms
• Ensure a systematic and integrated approach HR analytics & measures, using VIP payroll systems
