Executive Chef - Upmarket Corporate Catering - Cape Town
An exceptional opportunity for a strong Executive Chef / Head Chef to join a premium corporate catering operation delivering world-class dining within an exclusive office environment in Cape Town.
This high-profile site features a 120-seater restaurant, serving approximately 600 professionals and their guests daily, offering both buffet and a la carte menus at a consistent five-star level.
The operation is supported by a team of over 30 hospitality professionals, all committed to excellence in food quality, presentation, and service standards.
Salary: R30 000 - R35 000 DOE
Days & Hours of Work:
Mainly Monday to Friday
Operating hours: 7am - 5pm
Limited functions on weekends and evenings
Description

• Take creative lead on functions and a la carte service
• Supervise shift teams and lead kitchen operations
• Maintain exceptional standards of food quality, consistency, and presentation
• Manage, train, and roster kitchen staff to ensure optimal performance
• Handle client feedback and uphold service excellence
• Oversee stock control, ordering, and requisitions
• Ensure smooth execution in a high-volume environment

Minimum Requirements

• Minimum 5 years' experience in a senior chef role within a high-end hotel or restaurant environment
• Relevant tertiary culinary qualification
• Matric
• Must be able to handle large volumes
• Contactable references essential
• Stable employment history - no job hoppers
