Job Summary Join their vibrant and luxurious resort nestled in the heart of the captivating landscapes of Cameroon. They are seeking an exceptionally talented Executive Chef who is fluent in French to join their dynamic team and lead the culinary endeavors to new heights.

As the Executive Chef, you will be the visionary culinary leader responsible for the resort's entire food and beverage operations. Your passion for exquisite gastronomy, creativity, and exceptional leadership skills will drive the development of our culinary offerings, maintaining the highest standards of quality, and delivering an exceptional dining experience for our discerning guests.
Responsibilities:

  • Culinary Leadership: Spearhead all culinary aspects of the resort, including menu planning, food preparation, and presentation. Create innovative and tantalizing menus that reflect both international and local flavors, ensuring an extraordinary dining experience for our diverse clientele.
  • Team Management: Lead, inspire, and mentor a team of talented chefs and kitchen staff. Foster a collaborative and respectful work environment that encourages creativity and growth.
  • Quality Assurance: Uphold the highest standards of food quality, hygiene, and safety. Conduct regular inspections to ensure compliance with food safety regulations and best practices.
  • Inventory and Cost Control: Oversee inventory management and cost control measures to maintain financial efficiency without compromising on the quality of ingredients.
  • Vendor Management: Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and vendors to ensure a consistent supply of top-quality ingredients.
  • Training and Development: Organize training programs to enhance the skills of kitchen staff, promoting continuous improvement within the culinary team.
  • Seasonal Offerings: Create special menus for seasonal events, holidays, and celebrations, showcasing your creativity and expertise.
  • Guest Interaction: Engage with guests to gather feedback, understand preferences, and exceed their culinary expectations.
Requirements:
  • Culinary Expertise: Proven experience as an Executive Chef or in a similar high-level culinary role, with a diverse culinary background and familiarity with French cuisine.
  • Language Skills: Fluent in French (written and spoken) and excellent communication skills in English.
  • Leadership Abilities: Strong leadership qualities with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse culinary team.
  • Creativity: A passion for culinary arts and a keen eye for innovative and artistic food presentation.
  • Adaptability: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment, maintaining composure under pressure.
  • Culinary Education: Formal culinary education or relevant certifications will be advantageous.
  • Work Experience: Minimum of [5] years of experience in a managerial culinary position as an Executive Chef.
