Our client, an award-winning luxury wine estate in Stellenbosch, is seeking a highly skilled Electrician & Maintenance Technician to join their facilities team. This role is suited to a hands-on professional with strong electrical expertise, excellent problem-solving abilities, and the versatility to handle general maintenance tasks across a high-end property.
Description
The Electrician & Maintenance Technician will be responsible for installing, maintaining, repairing, and inspecting electrical systems across the estate. In addition, the role involves day-to-day property maintenance, compliance checks, and ensuring that all facilities and equipment operate safely and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair electrical control systems, wiring, lighting, and related equipment
• Conduct routine electrical maintenance and preventative inspections
• Inspect circuit breakers, electrical panels, and components
• Diagnose electrical and mechanical faults and recommend effective solutions
• Maintain accurate logs and daily maintenance records
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and the Occupational Health & Safety Act
• Perform general maintenance tasks across the estate (basic plumbing, carpentry, HVAC support, etc.)
• Collaborate closely with the maintenance team and external contractors

Minimum Requirements

• Diploma/Certificate as a qualified Electrician
• Minimum 5 years' relevant experience
• Ability to use electrical, hand, and power tools effectively
• Thorough understanding of safety procedures, legal guidelines, and regulations
• Basic knowledge of plumbing, carpentry, HVAC, and general maintenance
• Strong problem-solving ability and critical-thinking skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Valid driver's licence
• Professional, reliable, and able to work independently
