Electrician & Maintenance Technician – Luxury Wine Estate – Stellenbosch

Job Description

The Electrician & Maintenance Technician will be responsible for installing, maintaining, repairing, and inspecting electrical systems across the estate. In addition, the role involves day-to-day property maintenance, compliance checks, and ensuring that all facilities and equipment operate safely and efficiently.



Key Responsibilities



Install, maintain, and repair electrical control systems, wiring, lighting, and related equipment



Conduct routine electrical maintenance and preventative inspections



Inspect circuit breakers, electrical panels, and components



Diagnose electrical and mechanical faults and recommend effective solutions



Maintain accurate logs and daily maintenance records



Ensure compliance with safety standards and the Occupational Health & Safety Act



Perform general maintenance tasks across the estate (basic plumbing, carpentry, HVAC support, etc.)



Collaborate closely with the maintenance team and external contractors



Diploma/Certificate as a qualified Electrician



Minimum 5 years' relevant experience



Ability to use electrical, hand, and power tools effectively



Thorough understanding of safety procedures, legal guidelines, and regulations



Basic knowledge of plumbing, carpentry, HVAC, and general maintenance



Strong problem-solving ability and critical-thinking skills



Excellent communication and interpersonal skills



Valid driver's licence



Professional, reliable, and able to work independently



Between 5 - 7 Years
