About the Business Unit

The Siemens Grid Software Business Unit unifies various Grid Software products and solutions for our customers, typically Transmission and Distribution System Operators to transition to an agile IT/OT landscape for the entire grid lifecycle. This includes: a complete planning, operating & maintenance view of the grid; a full, modular software product portfolio. Deep IT & OT grid domain expertise from a team of 2,500 people - constantly living innovations. There are 4 Lines of Business (LOB): Metering Data Management, Grid Simulation, Grid Control, and Consulting.

Our Grid Simulation software portfolio is one of the cornerstones of the Grid Software Business Unit, and of the entire power industry. Utilities use our Grid Simulation PSSxc2xae portfolio to design, model, simulate, and analyze power grids at every voltage level from Transmission to Distribution.

We currently have a unique opportunity for a vibrant Software Sales Executive to join a group of innovative and future thinking people, with a passion for driving software sales.

Responsibilities of the Role

We are seeking a Sales who will be the sales entrepreneur for the assigned territory. The primary metric for success in this position are Order Intake and Software Licenses Revenue. Some of the highlights of this role which will contribute to achieving yearly sales targets include:

Owning and executing Grid Simulation software sales for assigned territory

Selling our portfolio into existing verticals

Developing and executing go-to-market / growth initiatives, sales strategies, and account plans

Providing updates on forecast, funnel, initiatives, and key opportunities

Leading & executing field sales campaigns in targeted verticals. Taking a data-driven approach to sales steering.

Clearly communicating Siemens Grid Softwarexe2x80x99s vision, value proposition and key differentiators to customers at the Director level and above

Building and maintaining positive relationships with Director/VP level at major accounts throughout the territory

Seeking out and identifying xe2x80x9cchampionsxe2x80x9d within assigned accounts who will further support your sales efforts within the customerxe2x80x99s organization

Building and executing business development plans to enter new/underserved verticals, markets, and customers xe2x80x93 both directly as well as through new/existing channel partners.

Coaching and providing thought leadership to the bid team on key/large deals

You will work in the regional sales office as an active Sales team member of a global organization.

Qualifications and Experience

xc2xa7 Have a bachelorxe2x80x99s degree in science or business.

xc2xa7 Extensive experience selling software, ideally to utility customers.

xc2xa7 Demonstrated ability to manage, analyze, and win complex bids.

xc2xa7 Fluent in English. Other African languages are a plus.

xc2xa7 Ability to create, own and manage sales campaigns.

xc2xa7 Ability to manage sales forecasts and maintain sales momentum.

xc2xa7 Maintain understanding of the local market for your assigned territory

xc2xa7 Be able to apply sales frameworks such as MEDDICC to qualify & progress deals throughout their lifecycle

xc2xa7 Experience with Challenger Sales methodology is a plus.

xc2xa7 Proven track record of account management, including accurate sales forecasting, sales process management, and successful attainment of quota across multiple product lines.

xc2xa7 Demonstrated experience with diverse sales channels xe2x80x93 both direct and indirect - in a large matrix organization
