Job Description
:
Management of and monitor Environment, Health, and Safety (EHS) systems, procedures, and standards across the manufacturing and warehouse operations. The role ensures compliance with legal requirements, promotes a culture of safety, reduces operational risks, and supports sustainable practices in line with ESG commitments. Day to day management of site safety issues
Responsible for developing and implementing health & safety programes in collaboration with management, ensuring adherence to relevant legislation
Incident investigationAdministration of safety system requirements and files.
Advises management on all material, equipment and safety-related matters.Conduct site inspections for compliance to Legal Requirements. Management of all EHS issues dealing with contractors - ensuring that all projects are run according to EHS Specifications, OHS Act and Construction Regulations.
Qualifications
Samtrac, MSRM, Riskmaq, Shemtrac, Nebosh IGC or ICC (Must) Incident and Accident investigation training (Strongly Recommended) ISO Internal Auditor (Recommended) Risk Assessment training (Must) Supervisory training (Recommended) Fire training (Recommended) First Aid Level 1 (Recommended) Diploma in Safety Management/Nadsam/BTech or equivalent (Preferable)
Work Experience
Minimum 3-5 years in an EHS role within a manufacturing, logistics, or warehouse environment
Hands-on experience in risk assessments, incident investigations, and root cause analysis
Proven experience implementing and maintaining ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 management system
Experience in hazardous material handling, waste management, and spill control
Exposure to renewable energy, electrical manufacturing, or electronics assembly processes
Practical involvement in contractor management, supplier audits, and logistics safety
Demonstrated experience in emergency response planning and conducting evacuation/fire drills
Must Have
Own vehicle with a valid drivers license
