Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a reliable and safety-conscious Driver/Logistics Support Assistant to support our field operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for transporting staff, materials, and equipment to various construction sites-including those outside of Durban. Key Responsibilities Safely transport staff, construction materials, tools, and machinery to designated sites. Maintain accurate records of tools and equipment taken to sites and ensure their return at the end of each shift. Conduct daily vehicle inspections and report any issues promptly to the administration office. Complete a trip sheet for every journey undertaken. Reconcile all funds received for vehicle or material purchases before requesting additional funds. Adhere to all traffic laws and vehicle safety regulations, including speed limits and PPE requirements. Complete and submit a daily staff attendance register within the first hour of each shift. Ensure that all supplier pickups include signed delivery notes. Monitor and report any safety breaches by site staff to the site supervisor. Serve as a communication link between the site manager and the administration office. Perform other duties as assigned, within your skillset. Requirements Valid South African Code 10 driver's license with a clean driving record. Minimum 3 years of experience within construction or logistics. Willingness to travel outside Durban as required. Ability to work flexible hours.
