Role Purpose

The purpose of this position is to support the Head Operations in designing and delivering platforms, and the specific digital products/applications and services that are built on top of the digital platforms. This will contribute to sustainable value creation (efficiencies) and a very high standard of customer experience.

This position covers digital platforms in its entirety i.e., adviser workspaces, contact center solutions , client platforms , Chat Enginexe2x80x99s etc. and the applications / services that run on these.
Requirements

  • Relevant B-degree
  • Proven digital platform / product (preferable in a financial services industry)
  • Technical qualification (optional)
  • Insurance / banking industry experience would be advantageous
  • At least 2 yearsxe2x80x99 relevant experience as a Product Owner or Product Consultant (essential)
  • At least 5 yearsxe2x80x99 relevant experience as a Senior Developer, Project Manager, Business Analyst,
  • Experience of managing projects, BAU work and product road map prioritisation (essential)
  • Exposure to diverse IT solution implementation in a variety of environments (desirable)
  • Knowledge of client experience and client lifecycle management
  • Exposure to defining minimum viable products (MVPs)
  • Knowledge of standard software development roles and responsibilities
  • Knowledge and experience of working with Agile delivery methods
  • Knowledge of requirements capturing and specification techniques
  • Knowledge of conducting user research and working with teams to develop wireframes and specifications for new product features
  • Knowledge of project management including product-based planning techniques, business case creation and maintenance, and risk management
  • Experience of managing multiple feature development in one backlog
  • Experience in scheduling functional and non-functional requirements
  • Understanding of end-to-end product management principles
  • Knowledge of digital product development from idea through to solution delivery
Duties & Responsibilities
  • Establish MMerge digital platform/product capability as a competitive differentiator in the market place, by developing relevant, purposeful and innovative platforms / services that will increase customer satisfaction, uptake and efficiencies.
  • Develop platform and digital product strategy xe2x80x93 with planning and full delivery roadmap (with detailed IT Roadmap). This will include full platform lifecycle with change management, visibility, finance and continuous improvement etc.
  • Deep understanding of channel demographics, segmentation and competitor analysis in all the markets we operate i.e. Momentum, Metropolitan and Africa.
  • Create appropriate operational workflows to support the proposition in order to meet business needs.
  • Lead platform and product release plans and delivery expectation dates of new functionalities within agreed timelines.
  • Be a knowledge leader with regards to the digital product, keeping abreast with market, practices and client trends.
  • Conduct User Forums including monitor client experience and client feedback, ensuring any significant issues are resolved and that the digital product stabilisation is reached in line with business expectations.
  • Assist in shaping the platform strategy by focusing on the operational capability, product requirements, MI and technical capability.
  • Manage relationships with IT teams, internal clients, external vendors and stakeholders.
  • Participate in the team ceremonies, including sprint planning, sprint reviews, retrospectives, and play an active role in mitigating impediments impacting successful completion of release or sprint goals.
  • Develop and maintain reports for key stakeholders and sponsors with regards to platform initiatives and performance.
  • Facilitate and manage key meetings with all business areas and segment teams to ensure that all business requirements are sourced and tracked against .
  • Elicit digital product requirements from business areas, distil, prioritise and translate them into user stories with acceptance criteria in line with business expectations.
  • Facilitate, implement and maintain the research and development capability of new platform initiatives xe2x80x93 from concept , business requirements and high-level wireframes.
  • Responsible for the full digital platform life cycle and road map of end to end products including visibility, finance, marketing and enhancement of product value proposition within the business area.
  • Work with Business Analysts and User Experience (UX) to ensure product prototyping takes place, and product user stories and user journeys support the client and business outcomes.
  • Participate in the team ceremonies, including sprint planning, sprint reviews, retrospectives, and play an active role in mitigating impediments impacting successful completion of release or sprint goals.
  • Ensure that the project timelines and delivery of new channel initiatives are managed accordingly and maintained within the given budgetary requirements.
  • Ensure that the platform is compliant with all relevant regulatory requirements.
  • On-going platform support.
  • Ensure that platforms designs / services are re-usable across all platforms by creating a library of services and capabilities
  • Ensure that change management processes and governance across all channel capabilities are adhered to.
