Social Media Account Manager - Red Bull South Africa

About the Role

Reach Digital is seeking a creative and agile Account Manager to manage Red Bull South Africa's social media presence. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, loves spotting trends, and can deliver engaging content that resonates with South African audiences. You'll be responsible for planning, executing, and reporting on social media activities while ensuring the brand remains culturally relevant and connected. Key Responsibilities

Tactical community management and engagement across all social platforms

Daily posting and scheduling of content

Social calendar planning using Media Planet

Ideation of content formats and participation in brainstorming sessions

Reporting on events, projects, and marketing & sales activities

On-the-ground coverage of Red Bull events

Providing feedback on content and assisting with programming plans (occasionally) What we're looking for

Able to work weekends or outside office hours when needed

Willing to travel and work overtime when required

REQUIREMENTS

Skills required

Proven experience in social media management across multiple platforms (Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, X, etc.)

Strong community management and engagement skills

Ability to plan and manage social calendars

Creative content ideation and trend spotting

Excellent copywriting skills with knowledge of South African slang and vernac

Familiarity with social media tools (Meta Business Suite, TikTok Business, scheduling platforms)

Understanding of social media algorithms and best practices

Strong reporting and analytics skills for events and campaigns

Ability to work weekends, outside office hours, and travel when required

Highly organised with strong planning and multitasking abilities

Adaptable and calm under pressure in fast-paced environments

Collaborative team player with excellent communication skills

Innovative thinker who thrives on creativity and cultural relevance
