Desktop Support Engineer

Job Description
We are looking for a skilled Desktop Support Engineer to provide technical assistance, troubleshoot hardware/software issues, and support daily IT operations. The ideal candidate has strong problem-solving skills, excellent communication, and experience supporting users in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
Provide Level 1 & Level 2 support for desktops, laptops, printers, and peripherals Install, configure, and maintain Windows/macOS operating systems Troubleshoot hardware and software issues both remotely and onsite Manage user accounts, permissions, and groups in Active Directory Support Office 365 applications including Outlook, Teams, and SharePoint Perform regular system updates, patches, and security configurations Set up and maintain network connections, VPNs, and Wi-Fi access Document support activities, solutions, and user guides in the ticketing system Assist with onboarding/offboarding, including device setup and deployment Collaborate with IT team to improve processes, security, and system performance
Required Qualifications
1-3 years of experience in IT support or desktop engineering Strong knowledge of Windows 10/11 and macOS environments Experience with Office 365, Active Directory, and basic network troubleshooting Familiarity with ticketing systems (e.g., ServiceNow, JIRA, Zendesk) Excellent communication and customer service skills Ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues efficiently
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: R1100,00 - R1240,00 per day
Expected hours: 15 - 25 per week
Work Location: On the road
