Responsibilities
Provide technical support for desktops, laptops, printers, scanners, and other IT equipment.
Troubleshoot and resolve
Datamax printer errors
, including "position fault" issues.
Install, configure, and maintain operating systems, applications, and hardware.
Perform preventive maintenance and ensure optimal performance of IT assets.
Monitor, log, and escalate unresolved issues to higher-level support teams.
Assist with printer calibration, firmware updates, and driver installation.
Provide on-site and remote support for hardware and software incidents.
Maintain inventory of IT equipment and ensure proper documentation of support tasks.
Collaborate with vendors for hardware replacement and warranty claims.
Educate users on best practices for IT systems and equipment usage.
Requirements
Proven experience as a Desktop Support Engineer or IT Support Technician.
Hands-on experience troubleshooting Datamax printers (especially "position fault" errors).
Strong knowledge of Windows OS, Microsoft Office Suite, and basic networking.
Familiarity with printer management tools and spooler services.
Ability to read and interpret printer error codes and service manuals.
Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
