Customer Service Representative Chemical

Job Description

A leading manufacturer and supplier of speciality chemical raw materials in South Africa is seeking the above to manage customer orders and invoicing, facilitate communication between departments, and efficiently organize tasks using relevant software and administrative skills.
Minimum requirements for the role:

  • Must have a tertiary qualification in Office Administration
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in customer service is essential
  • Chemical industry experience is nice to have
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English (Read, Write, Speak)
  • Proficient in computer applications, particularly Microsoft Excel and Word
  • Experience with Sage Evolution is preferred
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
  • Taking and capturing telephonic or emailed customer orders.
  • Processing invoices and delivery notes.
  • Providing feedback to customers on order status.
  • Liaising internally with Production, Dispatch, and Sales personnel.
  • Managing time efficiently to ensure deadlines are met.
  • Demonstrating communication skills.
  • Performing basic secretarial duties.
  • Using computer applications such as Sage Evolution, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
