We are currently seeking an experienced Cook to join a busy contract catering operation in Franschhoek. This role is suited to a reliable, hands-on kitchen professional who takes pride in preparing high-quality, safe, and well-presented meals in a fast-paced environment.
Description
- Prepare food for daily kitchen production in line with menus and operational requirements
- Ensure all meals are prepared and presented to the highest quality standards
- Adhere strictly to food safety, hygiene, and sanitation regulations
- Accommodate special dietary and nutritional requirements
- Work collaboratively with the kitchen team to ensure smooth service delivery
Minimum Requirements - Education & Experience
- Professional Cookery Certificate (essential)
- Matric (essential)
- Minimum 2 years' experience in a cook position
- Ability to work weekends and evenings as per operational requirements
- Strong customer service orientation
- Solid experience working in a professional kitchen environment
- Ability to work effectively under pressure in a high-volume setting
- Good communication skills and a strong team-player attitude
