Contracts Manager Wanted - Multi-Storey Landmark Project in Green Point, Cape Town to the value of R200million
A renowned and long-established building contractor is looking for an experienced Contracts Manager to oversee a large, multi-storey building development in Green Point, Cape Town.
This is a flagship project requiring a dynamic leader with a strong technical background and excellent contractual oversight.
Key Responsibilities:
- Overall management of the project lifecycle, from contract award to final handover
- Coordinate multiple teams, including Site Agents, subcontractors, engineers, and consultants
- Ensure delivery on budget, programme, quality, and safety
- Oversee and manage all contractual and commercial aspects of the project
- Monitor project performance and implement risk mitigation strategies
- Liaise with clients, professional teams, and stakeholders at a senior level
- Manage procurement schedules and oversee supplier performance
- Provide regular reporting to directors and clients
- Minimum of 10 years' experience in a Contracts Manager or Senior Site Agent role on multi-storey or high-rise building projects
- Proven experience managing complex commercial projects
- In-depth knowledge of JBCC/NEC or similar contract suites
- Strong technical knowledge of structural, concrete, and architectural phases
- Relevant qualification in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or similar
- Excellent planning, leadership, and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple teams and high-value contracts simultaneously
