Client-side opportunity for Contractual and Commercial expert.

Our client has been instrumental in the design, construction, and successful operation of a large infrastructure project on behalf of the Gauteng Provincial Government for many years and they ensure that their various external contractors and service providers that they have contracted with provide a world class service, whilst maintaining returns to investors. With their long standing Contractual & Commercial Executive leaving the business after more than a decade, they require a tactically minded, high calibre legal professional to formulate and implement contractual and commercial strategies to meet the Company's business objectives. Working closely with the CEO, the leader of this small but business critical department is responsible for a wide variety of contractual and commercial aspects of the business, ranging from ensuring compliance with statutory requirements to dispute and risk management, and everything in between.

Together with the rest of the executive team, this will be responsible for setting and achieving the strategic goals of the company and would suit someone who is able to analyse and interpret legal claims and respond in kind with solutions which ensure both compliance and company interests are maintained.

Since the concession is essentially running very high value contracts, we are looking for your skills in a contracts-based environment such as construction, infrastructure development, transport or engineering. With their eye firmly on transformation, preference will be given to Black candidates who are Admitted Attorney's and have a minimum of 5 years' experience in an Executive position within a corporate envionment. Preference will be given to those with a post graduate business qualification.
