The Commis Chef will support senior chefs with daily food preparation, mise en place, and kitchen operations, contributing to exceptional dining experiences that delight guests.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare food items according to established recipes and standards
Assist with deliveries and stock rotation
Complete daily mise en place checks to ensure freshness and quality
Maintain strict hygiene, safety, and sanitation standards
Ensure cleanliness and maintenance of workstations, utensils, and equipment
Follow kitchen procedures and service standards at all times
Maintain knowledge of menus, daily features, and promotions
Culinary Certificate or Diploma
1-2 years' experience as a Commis Chef in a 5-star or luxury restaurant environment preferred
Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays
Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
Good communication and interpersonal abilities
Self-disciplined, efficient, and able to cope under pressure
Flexible, accountable, and team-oriented
