Our client, a renowned seasonal function and events venue just outside Stellenbosch, Winelands, is seeking an experienced Commis Chef / Chef de Partie for the upcoming season. This is a fast-paced, high-energy environment ideal for culinary professionals looking to gain experience in weddings, corporate events, and private functions. Immediate start with potential for permanent placement.
Description
This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated chef to join a dynamic team at a premier Stellenbosch function venue. The role involves preparing and executing menu items for events, maintaining high standards of quality and presentation, and supporting the senior kitchen team. The position is seasonal, running from 2 January to end of April, with the potential to transition into a permanent role.

• Contract Type: Seasonal (Jan - April)
• Location: Stellenbosch Winelands
• Start Date: 2 January
• Salary: R8,000 - R10,000 per month + overtime
• Hours: 45 - 55 hours per week (overtime paid)

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in preparation and cooking of high-quality dishes for events and functions
• Maintain kitchen hygiene, cleanliness, and safety standards
• Work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment
• Support senior kitchen staff and help with stock management
