Chef de Partie - Luxury Restaurant | Stellenbosch

Kendrick Recruitment is now seeking a skilled and passionate Chef de Partie to join the culinary team of a luxury restaurant situated in the heart of Stellenbosch. This is a fantastic opportunity for a talented individual with a strong culinary foundation to thrive in a high-end, fast-paced kitchen environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and present high-quality dishes within your section
Ensure all food preparation meets restaurant standards and presentation expectations
Assist with the smooth running of the kitchen during service
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of workstations at all times
Monitor stock levels and communicate shortages to senior chefs
Assist in the training and supervision of junior kitchen staff
Follow all health, hygiene, and safety procedures diligently
Contribute to menu development and suggest improvements when appropriate
Key Requirements:
Formal culinary training or relevant professional qualification
Minimum of 2-3 years' experience in a similar role within a fine dining or high-end kitchen
Strong understanding of cooking techniques and kitchen operations
Ability to work under pressure while maintaining consistency and attention to detail
Good communication skills and ability to work well within a team
Passionate about food, ingredients, and seasonal produce
Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays
