Key Responsibilities:- Prepare and cook a variety of sushi dishes, including nigiri, maki, and sashimi, according to established recipes and standards On Board Cruise Ship- Ensure all sushi dishes are prepared and presented to the highest quality and visual standards- Train and supervise junior sushi chefs in proper techniques and procedures- Maintain inventory and order supplies as needed- Ensure compliance with all food safety and sanitation regulations- Collaborate with other chefs and kitchen staff to develop new menu items and specials- Assist with menu planning and cost control measures- Maintain a clean and organized work station at all times- Follow all company policies and procedures, including uniform and grooming standards- Participate in onboard events and activities as neededQualifications:- Minimum 2 years of experience as a sushi chef in a high-volume restaurant or hotel- Culinary degree or equivalent experience preferred- Strong knowledge of Japanese cuisine and sushi techniques- Excellent knife skills and attention to detail- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment- Strong communication and leadership skills- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed- Fluent in English, additional languages a plus
