Role: Change Manager (Organisational Design)

Duraction: 6 Months

Location: On-site, Cape Town

Our client in the FMCG retail sector is looking for a well experience, Senior Change Manager to join their team on an engagement for 6 months.

Requirements:

A self-motivated, self-started, senior OD and Change Management resource with a sound project management background. The incumbent will be assisting with restructing activities for the client.

Experience in running with and managing complex restructure processes.

The right candidate will have experience in organisational restructuring, understand the legal process, applicable laws, and policies governing Section 189/187 and mutual separations.

Essential - org design experience, change management experience and organisational change experience.

Project manage the restructuring process of smaller BUs (for example the property, marketing teams etc.) and must be able to run with multiple streams, and measure the project cost against scope etc.

Work closely with each Business Unit Lead of the teams that are required to be restructured.

Be able to answer and provide details on the below for example and to name but a few: * Presentation of current structure

  • Present on what the future / new structure will look like
  • What process will be followed
  • What is the communication strategy an plan and presented to business in the form of Slides etc.
  • Run with communication sessions with affected BUs presenting where they are, what the reason for the change is in terms of where they are heading and what that looks like, and who will be impacted and the process that is going to unfold.
  • Design, develop and present on pre and post Org Charts
  • Assist with the preparation of Sect 189 letters and presence in the section 189 consultations
  • Present and advise on the communication plan / strategy to relevant BU Leads and other responsible parties and areas
  • Play a support role to the HOD in the relevant session / consultations with affected parties (sit in meetings)
  • Flag any risks (iro people, process etc.)
  • This consultant will spearhead this process
  • Facilitate any retrenchments or mutual separations
  • Assist with the drafting and compilation of job descriptions for any new role or any role where more than 25% of the original role responsibilities have changed
  • Work closely and align with the talent teams to ensure that they vacancies are being advertised and sourced timeously and in a structured manner
  • Assist with the communication of open roles / vacancies in partnership with talent teams
  • Assist with letter of appointments
  • Run with the relevant communication sessions
  • Project manage the restructuring of org design, retrenchments / mutual separations process and the rollout of the new org structure in respect of recruitment and onboarding and obtaining the relevant buy in from the BU leaders and staff.
  • Will have the full support of and access to the Remuneration and HR Teams.
