Job Summary This newly created position needs a strong, hands on individual to take responsibility for the effective operations of a large established group of companies. The businesses include 3 restaurants, a game lodge, a wine farm/export entity and several ventures in the hospitality sector. The successful candidate will have a relevant degree, a strong understanding of the hospitality/restaurant/tourism sector and proven experience at an executive level in operations, marketing and business management. Duties will not be limited to but include the supervision of employees, systems investigation and implementation, ensuring legal compliance, involvement in marketing initiatives, increasing sales and driving business growth by ensuring the effective operation of all entities, monthly management reporting and various other functions as and when required. Criteria: Management/financial degree Minimum of 10 years experience in a senior management/similar role Must have managed a team of 15 + staff Good understanding of IT systems Knowledge of current Legal, HR & labour law legislation relating to the hospitality industry The ability to implement new ideas and relevant systems (the owner is a great entrepreneur and appreciates new, fresh ideas) Strong entrepreneurial drive with the ability to market new concepts and handle a highly pressurized, deadline driven environment Fully fluent in English & Afrikaans Be a good operational thinker with experience in the hospitality/restaurants/tourism industry (ESSENTIAL) Must reside in the South Peninsula or within a reasonable travelling distance from Noordhoek
