Job Summary Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Generating new business opportunities through cold calling, on-site visits, sales tours, and community networking.
  • Identifying prospective corporate clients by analyzing local market trends and competition activities.
  • Establishing and nurturing relationships with top corporate clients across various market segments.
  • Developing and managing the sales and marketing budget, in line with the overall sales strategy.
  • Representing the hotel professionally at industry tradeshows and conferences, while adhering to budgetary and marketing plan guidelines.
  • Ensuring all hotel marketing materials and intellectual property are current and relevant.
  • Managing and maintaining hotel databases, and sending out monthly mailers.
  • Overseeing the upkeep of hotel website pages and social media profiles.
  • Implementing a Guest Loyalty Program to enhance customer retention and satisfaction.
Technical Competencies & Skills
  • Profound understanding of sales and marketing principles within the hospitality industry.
  • Competency in interpreting data and conducting statistical analysis.
  • Ability to create and execute effective marketing and rate strategies.
  • Strong planning and organizational skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver results under high-pressure situations and tight deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, both verbal and written.
  • Effective networking abilities.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset, proactive problem-solving skills.
  • Personal attributes include being a team player, deadline-oriented, possessing a strong work ethic, and demonstrating determination.
  • An energetic and highly motivated self-starter.
Education & Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Business Administration, Hotel Management, Marketing, Advertising, or Communications.
Relevant Experience
  • 3 or more years of experience in sales management or leadership roles within the sales department in hotels.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Adobe, and Microsoft Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
  • Experience with property management systems, particularly Semper, or related systems would be advantageous.
  • Prior experience in the real estate or hospitality sector would be beneficial.
