Confectionery company based in Montagu Gardens in search of a Cake Decorator / Assistant Kitchen Manager. They are looking for a passionate and driven individual with a love for cake and an eye for detail to join our team.
The individual needs to understand the value of our product and brand to deliver the best possible customer experience. They become part of the brand and are an important contributor to the team.
Main responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
Assist management with any tasks that may be required
Be able to frost, pipe and complete cakes
Ensure customer products executed meet the company standards
Managing team when the head chef is on leave
Assisting the team with prep work for the day:
Cutting of cake sponges for the day
Whipping up frosting
Making elements for customer orders
Frosting and completing customer orders
Assisting in daily clean up with the team
Maintaining a first in first out system in collaboration with the kitchen team
Baking assistance, if required
Maintaining standard kitchen hygiene practices
Maintain food safety standards in the workplace
Packing Orders:
Assisting the team in packaging orders for clients in a timeous manner
Customer Assistance:
Assisting client payments in-store if required
Facilitating customer collections if required
Assisting customers with items sold from front of house if required
Deliveries - Willingness to assist with customer deliveries if required (petrol will be compensated)
