Job Description

Job Purpose



Supporting the Director in developing, executing, and managing the overall strategic direction of thecompany. Analysing investment opportunities, managing the portfolio of businesses, and ensuring alignment with corporate goals. Provide strategic insights, facilitating business growth, and driving key initiatives that enhance the long-term profitability and sustainability .

Key Responsibilities



Strategic Planning and Execution

Collaborate with the director in formulating and implementing corporate strategies, business plans, and long-term objectives. Conduct in-depth market research, competitive analysis, and risk assessments to inform strategic decisions. Develop frameworks for evaluating business performance and investment returns. Track industry trends, economic conditions, and emerging opportunities to position the company competitively.

Investment Analysis and Portfolio Management

Assess potential investment opportunities and conduct due diligence to support acquisition or divestment decisions. Provide financial modeling, valuation, and scenario analysis for investment projects. Monitor the performance of portfolio companies and recommend strategies to maximise returns

Stakeholder and Board Engagement

Prepare detailed presentations, reports, and recommendations for the director a Act as a strategic advisor and providing insights on key business issues. Facilitate communication between the director and other stakeholders, including investors and business partners.

Operational Efficiency and Business Improvement

Identify areas for operational improvement and develop initiatives to enhance productivity and profitability. Lead or support strategic projects and change management initiatives across the organisation. Develop key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure success and drive accountability.

Leadership and Collaboration

Build relationships within the organisation and foster a culture of innovation and strategic thinking. Mentor and guide junior team members involved in strategy or business analysis. Promote a collaborative, solutions-driven approach to problem-solving.

Skills and Competencies



Strong strategic thinking, analytical, and financial modeling skills. Excellent communication and presentation abilities, including report writing and stakeholder engagement. Exceptional organisational and project management skills. High levels of adaptability, problem-solving, and leadership. Advanced knowledge of investment principles, portfolio management, and corporate governance. Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment while maintaining a proactive approach.

Qualifications and Experience



Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or a related field (Master's/MBA preferred). 4+ years of experience in strategy development, investment analysis, or management consulting. Proficiency in financial analysis tools, business intelligence software, and strategic frameworks.

Pay: R25000,00 - R30000,00 per month
