?Y' About the Role
As a Business Development Manager - Pharma Services, you will play a key role in growing our portfolio of analytical services and scientific solutions for the pharmaceutical industry in South Africa.
YouaEUR(TM)ll be at the intersection of science and business aEUR" developing tailored solutions, nurturing long-term client relationships, and helping ensure regulatory excellence.

?Y What YouaEUR(TM)ll Do

  • Identify and develop new business opportunities with pharmaceutical companies, biotechs, and CDMOs in South Africa.
  • Build and manage long-term relationships with key clients by understanding their technical and regulatory needs.
  • Collaborate closely with internal teams aEUR" laboratories, quality, regulatory aEUR" to deliver tailored analytical solutions that meet GMP and pharmacopoeia standards.
  • Lead the full client cycle: from prospecting to proposal development, contract negotiation, and post-sale support.
  • Represent Merieux NutriSciences at industry events, conferences, and networking forums to raise visibility and generate leads.
  • Monitor your sales pipeline using our CRM system and share client insights with technical and commercial teams.
YOUR PROFILE
?Y' What WeaEUR(TM)re Looking For
  • A degree in Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Biotechnology, or related field is a must.
  • 8 to 10 years of experience in the pharmaceutical or analytical services industry, with a strong understanding of GMP and regulatory environments (SAHPRA, WHO, PIC/S...).
  • A technical background with solid experience in sales or client-facing roles.
  • A proactive, entrepreneurial mindset with strong interpersonal and negotiation skills.
  • Fluency in English and willingness to travel regularly across South Africa.
