Job Description


Building Manager Duties & Responsibilities Property Maintenance: a. Regularly inspect the building's exterior, interior, and common areas to identify and address maintenance issues promptly. b. Coordinate and oversee repairs, renovations, and maintenance work carried out by contractors or in-house staff. c. Ensure that heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems, plumbing, electrical systems, and elevators are in good working order. d. Manage landscaping and parking lot maintenance to maintain a clean and appealing environment. Security and Safety: a. Implement and enforce security procedures, including access control, surveillance, and emergency response protocols. b. Maintain relationships with local law enforcement and emergency services to ensure a rapid response in case of emergencies. c. Conduct regular fire safety inspections and drills to ensure compliance with safety regulations. d. Address safety concerns and hazards promptly. Tenant Relations: a. Serve as a primary point of contact for tenants and address their concerns and requests. b. Assist with lease negotiations, lease renewals, and tenant onboarding. c. Ensure that tenants comply with lease terms, including operating hours, signage, and common area usage. d. Mediate and resolve disputes between tenants or between tenants and management. Sustainability and Environmental Compliance: a. Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and certifications, where applicable. Emergency Response: a. Develop and implement emergency response plans and procedures for the shopping center. b. Coordinate emergency drills and training for staff and tenants. Record Keeping and Reporting: a. Maintain detailed records of property maintenance and tenant interactions. b. Prepare regular reports for management regarding the operations of the shopping center. c. Be available 24H for reporting on the group and for emergencies. Continuous Improvement: a. Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and regulations related to property management. b. Identify opportunities for improvement in operations, cost efficiency, and tenant satisfaction. The duties of a building manager at a shopping center require strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to work effectively with tenants, contractors, and various stakeholders to ensure the successful operation of the facility Job Type: Full-time Ability to commute/relocate:
