Job Description

We are looking for a meticulous, task-focused bookkeeper to join us at our Regional Office in Strand, Western Cape.
KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS
Full bookkeeping function to balance sheet which includes:
DEBTORS

• Monthly contract invoices

• Ad hoc invoices

• Registration of vendor portals

• Recording job codes to invoices

• Assisting operations with customer queries

CREDITORS

• Receive supplier invoices via e-mail

• Forward to line managers for approval for payment and confirmation of related project cost

• Supplier recons

• Compile payment packs for CEO approval

• Update weekly cash flow for payment

• Allocate supplier payments

CASHBOOK

• Cheque accounts

• Credit card account

• Savings accounts

• Intercompany transactions

• Debtors

• Suppliers

• Loan accounts

ASSETS

• Fixed Assets: Update asset register

• Save invoice copies on server

• Monthly depreciation

• Process monthly stock adjustments

LIABILITIES

• Write liabilities into accounting system

• Monthly recon of accounts

OTHER

• Weekly Cash flow

• Weekly reporting on debtors, creditors, intercompany loans

• Prepare accounts for monthly closure

• VAT submission

• Audit preparation

• Assist with relevant information needed for BBBEE audit

OTHER REQUIREMENTS

• Accounting/Bookkeeping certificate or diploma advantageous.

• Experience at audit firms/accounting practice an advantageous.

• Skills and experience to undertake balance sheet bookkeeping.

• Hands-on bookkeeping experience on Pastel Evolution advantageous.

• Advanced Excel and Word skills (MS Office).

• Attention to detail and strong analytical skills.

• Excellent time management and communication skills.

• Clear credit/criminal/health record

• Very strong in reconciliations

• Have own transport

• Willing to work overtime where required

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor's degree
• 5 - 8 years of general bookkeeping experience

• Deadline driven

• SAGE VIP Premier experience

• Must Good Communication skills
• stay in the surrounding areas of Strand

Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks.
No criminal record
