Job Summary We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Billing Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in MedeMass and HealthBridge billing systems, with a focus on accurately and efficiently invoicing healthcare services on behalf of doctors and medical practitioners. As a Billing Specialist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the timely and accurate processing of patient invoices, maintaining compliance with healthcare regulations, and fostering positive relationships with healthcare providers.
Responsibilities:

• MedeMass/HealthBridge Billing:

• Utilize expertise in MedeMass and HealthBridge billing systems to process invoices for medical services rendered by doctors to patients.
• Ensure accurate coding and documentation of services in accordance with industry standards and compliance regulations.
• Claims Management:

• Prepare and submit electronic claims to medical aids through the MedeMass/HealthBridge platforms.
• Monitor and track claims, identifying and addressing any issues or discrepancies to facilitate timely reimbursement.
• Patient Invoicing:

• Generate and send patient invoices for services not covered by medical aid.
• Provide clear and concise explanations of charges, payment options, and any relevant information to patients.
• Reconciliation:

• Reconcile billing records with medical records to verify the accuracy of billed services.
• Investigate and resolve discrepancies between billed and provided services.
• Customer Service:

• Address patient inquiries and concerns related to billing in a professional and empathetic manner.
• Collaborate with healthcare providers to resolve billing-related issues and discrepancies.
• Compliance:

• Stay informed about changes in healthcare billing regulations and compliance requirements.
• Ensure adherence to industry standards and legal requirements in all billing processes.

Qualifications: Grade 12

• Experience:

• Proven experience as a Billing Specialist in a healthcare setting, with specific expertise in MedeMass and HealthBridge billing systems.
• Familiarity with medical coding and billing practices.
• Technical Skills:

• Proficiency in using MedeMass and HealthBridge billing software.
• Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant software.
• Communication Skills:

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively with healthcare providers, insurance companies, and patients.
• Attention to Detail:

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in billing and documentation.
• Ability to review and analyze complex medical records.
• Team Collaboration:

• Ability to work collaboratively with healthcare providers, administrative staff, and other team members.
