Duties & Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily deployment of security personnel.
• Monitor access control, patrols, surveillance and control room operations.
• Respond to and investigate security breaches, theft and misconduct.
• Supervise guards, dog handlers and control room operators.
• Maintain CCTV, biometric and alarm systems.
• Implement theft prevention strategies and manage secure cargo escorting.
• Ensure compliance with MHSA, OHS Act, PSIRA and site-specific SOPs.
• Conduct risk assessments and support emergency drills.
• Compile incident reports and maintain accurate records.
• Promote a culture of safety, accountability and continuous improvement.

Skills and Competencies

• Knowledge of South African security and safety legislation.
• Leadership and conflict resolution skills.
• Proficient in MS Office and English communication.
• Experience with CCTV, alarm systems and biometric technology.
• Ability to manage teams and respond effectively under pressure.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 or equivalent.
• PSIRA Grade A certification (required).
• Valid driver's license.
• Armed Reaction qualification (NQF & SASSETA recognised).
• SAPS Competency for Handgun and Shotgun (Business Purposes).
• Crowd/Riot Control Training (including Conflict Management).
• SETA Approved 4x4 Training.
• Security Management qualification and investigation experience (advantageous).
