Job Advert Summary
Rand Water is currently looking for an Assistant Instrumentation Foreman to do detects and scheduled maintenance of Instrument and Automation equipment and work as determined by Departmental Head Operations.
Minimum Requirements
Grade 12 or N4 Trade Test Driver's license 3 years' experience Desired: Three years experience in a Supervisory position
Primary Duties
To ensure that Instrument and Automation are mantained to the acceptable RW standard Scheduled maintenance and defects To assist Instrumentation Foreman to locate items and obtain quotes for budget items To interact with consumers for verification checks and project executions To plan, delegate, control and monitor maintenance and calibration work To follow instruction while insuring that safety proceedings are followed and to contact the Risk Department if in doubt
Knowledge
Knowledge of relevant legislations and regulations Preferred knowledge of ISO 9001, 14001 and OHSAS 18001 Knowledge of Instrumentation, PLC and Scada, Telemetry and Process control
Skills
Good verbal and communications skills Ability to read and analyze complex design drawings Computer literacy Negotiating, problem solving, analytical and diagnostic skills Ability to do budget Ability to cope with emergency breakdowns Instrument equipment selection
