Job Purpose




The Western Cape Mobility Department, Western Cape Government (WCG) has an opportunity for a suitably qualified and competent individual to coordinate the provision of an effective and efficient management of movable asset management system. The successful incumbent must be able to work under pressure, willingness to work irregular hours and meet tight deadlines.

Minimum Requirements




An appropriate 3-year B-Degree (equivalent or higher qualification) in Supply Chain Management or Financial Management; A minimum of 3 years related logistic or financial management experience at supervisory level; A valid (Code B or higher) driving licence.

Key Performance Areas




Administer and ensure effective and efficient management of Movable Assets; Coordinate the safekeeping and distribution of Movable Assets; Coordinate the disposal of Movable Assets; Managerial functions; It will be advantageous to have working experience in LOGIS, BAS and Electronic Purchasing System (EPS) or related system. Comprehensive Administrative expertise spanning Supply Chain Management and Finance.

Competencies



Knowledge of the following:

Legislation, regulatory frameworks, policies and best practices that have a bearing on the line functions; Information systems that aid in the management of knowledge and information pertaining to the line function; Project management; Operational management practices; Procurement and tendering processes; Policy development, and operational management, monitoring and review processes; Public service procedures, processes and

systems; Public Finance Management Act,National Treasury Regulations, Provincial Treasury Instructions, other financial policies, prescripts, directives and collective agreements.


Skills needed:

Numeracy; Literacy; Computer Literacy; Written and verbal communication; Project Management; Accounting, Finance and Audit.

Remuneration



R 468 459 - R 561 894 per annum (Salary level 9)





Note on remuneration in addition service benefits or obligations for qualifying employees (medical assistance, housing assistance, pension-fund contributions, etc) are funded or co-funded in terms of the applicable prescripts or collective agreements.
