Job Description

The Western Cape Mobility Department, Western Cape Government (WCG) have three opportunities for three suitably qualified and competent individuals to render a logistics service to the Western Cape Mobility Department. The successful incumbents must be able to work under pressure, willingness to work irregular hours and meet tight deadlines.
Minimum Requirements
An appropriate 3-year National Diploma/B-Degree (equivalent or higher qualification) in Supply Chain Management or Finance; A minimum of 3 years relevant experience in supply chain management or finance; A valid (Code B or higher) driving licence. NB: People with disabilities that restrict driving abilities, but who have reasonable access to transport, may also apply.

Key Performance Areas
Administer Requisitions; Administer Purchases; Administer Payments; Perform Office Administration; Supervisory functions; It will be advantageous to relevant experience in logistics and asset management or finance working environment.
Competencies
Knowledge of the following: Asset management duties, practices as well as the ability to capture data, operate computer and collect statistics; Legislative framework governing the Public Service; Procedures in terms of the working environment; Public Service financial legislations, processes and procedures, National Treasury Regulations, Provincial Treasury Instructions; Basic operating systems such as PERSAL, BAS, LOGIS.
Skills needed: Numeracy; Literacy; Computer Literacy; Project Management; Accounting, Finance and Audit; Economic, Financial and Statistical Analysis; Legal Administration; Planning; Organising; Customer Care; Reporting; Problem-solving; Good Verbal and Written Communication; Creative Thinking; Decision Making; Ability to work under pressure; Willingness to work irregular hours and meet tight deadlines.
Remuneration
R 325 101 - R 382 959 per annum (Salary level 7)
Note on remuneration in addition service benefits or obligations for qualifying employees (medical assistance, housing assistance, pension-fund contributions, etc) are funded or co-funded in terms of the applicable prescripts or collective agreements.
Notes
Shortlisted candidates will be required to submit documentation for verification purposes and criminal record vetting. These candidates will be required to do a practical and attend interviews on a date and time determined by the department and may also be required to undergo competency assessments/proficiency tests. The selection process will be guided by the EE targets of the employing department.
