Job Description

We are looking for an Artisan Aid to join our Facilities Solutions team. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing and supervising the layout, assembly, installation, maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of mechanical equipment and systems, including pipe supports and related hydraulic and pneumatic equipment. This role ensures compliance with legislation, regulations, and Tsebo standards across the business unit.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Perform planned and preventative maintenance on mechanical systems and equipment.
• Diagnose and resolve breakdowns using root cause analysis techniques.
• Assemble, install, and repair mechanical parts and piping systems.
• Inspect and test systems for compliance with safety regulations.
• Maintain accurate documentation of work performed.
• Supervise contractors and junior staff when required.
• Adhere to Tsebo's SHEQ policies and promote a safe working environment.

Skills and Competencies

• Strong mechanical knowledge and practical application of work procedures.
• Proficient in reading technical drawings and schematics.
• Computer literacy (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Excellent time management and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work in a hospitality environment and manage client expectations.

Qualifications

• N3 Mechanical Engineering qualification and apprenticeship.
• Trade Test as a Fitter.
• Minimum 3-5 years' experience in fitting/welding, including pumps, hydraulics, pneumatics, HVAC, pipe repairs, rigging, and motor repairs
