Job Summary MiCrop requires a Site Foreman to supervise the day-to-day operations of the aquaponics farm. The main responsibilities of this job are: *Plan all operational tasks that need to be fulfilled - fish stocking, planting plans, harvesting, processing and sales. *Supervise staff so that all operational tasks are carried out optimally (planting, harvesting and processing). *Accurate record keeping (hardcopy and electronically) of all aquaponics activities *Monthly stock-takes and reports. *Daily operational checks, water testing and pest control. *Develop new procedures, training of staff. *Ensure aquaponics farm system follows and adheres to food safety guidelines, strict biosecurity measures, SOP's and good safety standards. *Oversee farm repairs and maintenance of equipment as required. Requirements: Minimum of Grade 12 "B" Average A diploma in Horticulture, Agriculture or Forestry would be advantageous. A degree (B.Eng or Agriculture) would increase salary expectancy. Demonstrated computer skills and proficiency in all MS Office applications. Experience using Google Drive considered an asset. Superior interpersonal and people skills, including empathy and an understanding of issues faced by those working at the farm. Demonstrated ability to multitask, prioritize responsibilities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment; must be comfortable taking initiative and working with minimal supervision. Superior organizational skills and a meticulous attention to detail.
