A Luxury Safari Company is looking for a APPRENTICE TRAILS GUIDE to join their team
The ideal apprentice trails guide is technically qualified, personable, and safety-focused. They hold FGASA, ARH, and First Aid, and are actively gaining experience under mentorship. With strong ecological knowledge and a warm, adaptable approach, they create engaging guest experiences while prioritizing ethical guiding and teamwork. Professional, curious, and eager to grow, they're well-suited to a high-end, family-friendly safari environment.
Candidate Requirements:
- Grade 12
- FGASA and Back-up Trails guide (essential)
- Valid PDP, First Aid, Rifle Competency or Proficiency
- PDP permit up to date.
- Big 5 Safari Game Reserve experience
- Excellent communication skills in English
- An understanding of vehicle & lodge maintenance
- Well-presented, confident, and well-spoken.
- Passionate about conservation and guests.
- Must have a positive attitude and great interpersonal skills.
- Must be able to work in a team and individually.
- Must have excellent time management skills and a great work ethic
