Applications Specialist: Microscopy (JHB) (LC_680) Scientific (Technical)
ESSENTIALS
Expert hands on practical optical microscopy & microscopy system experience, passion for technology, highly computer literate. Minimum BSc Hons / MSc / PhD), intuitive people skills, well-developed presentation skills, SA citizen, own transport, drivers license, valid passport, willing to travel.
Location: Randburg, Johannesburg
Salary: Competitive, negotiable on experience
DETAILS
A well-established South African lab instrumentation and supplies distributor requires an experienced optical Microscopist in an Applications Specialist role.
The position includes:
- Instrument demonstrations
- Technical presentations
- Instrument installations
- Technical support to clients
- Support to your own teams sales staff
- Sales function as part of client service offering
REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum of a BSc Hons / MSc / PhD in a Life Science discipline (e.g., Microbiology, Physiology, Medical Science or related)
- Demonstrated expertise with light microscopy and microscopy systems
- Excellent communication skills (verbal, written, presentation) in English
- Highly computer literate
- South African citizen or resident
- Drivers license, own transport
- Valid passport & willing to travel nationally
