Brand Specialist: Sponsorships (JHB - Sandton)

What youll be doing if you get the job:
As the Brand Specialist working on our sponsorship and consumer marketing portfolio in the Brand team, youll play an important role in overseeing and delivering our sponsorship and sponsorship leveraging strategy. Youll be involved in various daily marketing tasks such as regularly communicating with sponsors, ensuring alignment between our strategies and sponsors strategies, and executing our sponsorship rights across different platforms and audiences. The role will require you to manage relationships with partners to ensure that both parties objectives are being met for optimal value. Within our internal Brand space, you will be involved with our key sponsorship and consumer marketing initiatives, helping to meet the communication and marketing objectives of various internal clients. You will work with our in-house strategy, creative, social media and event management teams to conceptualise and execute marketing campaigns, in line with our overall corporate identity and brand strategies. This role includes regular travel and work over weekends and after hours, own transport is essential.

Duties (include but is not limited to):

Support the negotiation of sponsorship agreements in alignment of the business strategy

Develop sponsorship marketing and leveraging strategies that align with our overall brand strategy

Manage the execution of all the sponsorship rights

Ensure that all campaigns are rolled out successfully, on time and on budget

Build and maintain long-term relationships with our key stakeholders, including internal and external clients and business partners

Managing and tracking budgets in compliance with the procurement processes and policies

Regular monitoring of and reporting on campaign performance

Close collaboration with in-house social media, content and design teams and external suppliers to ensure outstanding execution on all sponsorship and consumer marketing strategies, and campaigns

Qualifications and experience

Proven experience in a Marketing and Brand role, including strong sponsorship marketing background

Minimum of three years experience is required, preferably more

At least one relevant tertiary Marketing qualification, such as a Marketing or Communication degree, is an absolute requirement

Knowledge in content production and the production process

You must have a strong work ethic and the ability to work under pressure
You must be comfortable working in a diverse, multi-skilled and multi-disciplinary team
