Application Support Engineer
Job Description
Resolving tickets using front-end, MySQL, and other provided tools
Working with system monitoring tools and responding to alerts
Escalating to internal resources where necessary
Understanding complex systems and problems
The engineer will also work closely with technical support, the DevOps team, and software developers, and will be expected to document processes and procedures
Qualifications:
Matric / Grade 12 degree, a BSc qualification or any other related qualification
At least 1-year experience in an Application Support Engineer role
The ideal candidate will have experience in Linux, MySQL, and Python or other comparable languages, in application troubleshooting and issue ownership
Understanding system architecture. They should also be risk-adverse when dealing with production code and systems
