Job Description
Job Summary The Accounts Payable Controller would play a crucial role in the central finance office, ensuring supplier invoices are processed accurately, payments are made on time, and compliance with South African VAT and hospitality-specific financial standards is maintained. The role is tailored to the luxury lodge and hotel environment, where precision and vendor relationship management are vital.
Core Criteria:
- 3-5 years' experience in accounts payable or financial administration.
- Background in hospitality or multi-property environments advantageous.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, VAT, and tax compliance.
- Strong grasp of rate structures, commissions, and voucher systems
- Advanced Excel skills (Pivot Tables, LOOKUPS, SUMIFS)
- Familiarity with Benson or similar PMS platforms is a plus
- Precision, accuracy, and a sharp eye for detail
- Clear communication with suppliers and internal teams
- Self-motivated, reliable, and able to manage responsibilities independently
- Ability to manage deadlines and high-volume workloads.
- Professional integrity and commitment to compliance.
