JOB OPPORTUNITY: Junior Workshop Technician

Location: [Umbilo,Durban]
Full-Time | Temp- Permanent Position

We are seeking a

hands-on, reliable, and self-motivated Junior Workshop Technician

to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and repairing hire equipment, diagnosing faults, and ensuring all machinery is in pristine condition before and after rentals.

Key Responsibilities:

Clean, service, and repair machinery before and after hire. Fault finding, diagnostics, and minor repairs on diesel-powered machinery. Perform basic electrical wiring (up to 220V). Maintain an organised workshop including correct storage and labelling of tools/parts. Complete job cards, reports, and repair quotations accurately and timeously. Inspect returned equipment for damage, cleanliness, and missing components; report accordingly. Comply with ISO standards and workshop protocols. Ensure high levels of housekeeping and safety practices.

Minimum Requirements:

Matric (Grade 12) and/or N3 Mechanical Engineering qualification. Diesel mechanic qualification (advantageous but not required). Minimum of

3 years' experience

in a similar environment. Experience using hand tools, power tools, and workshop machinery. Experience with fault finding and diagnostics on mechanical and electrical systems. Valid driver's licence (Code 08).
