Workshop Technician
Job Description
Key
1. Repairs & Maintenance
Conduct mechanical and electrical repairs on vehicles/equipment.
Perform routine servicing, inspections, and preventative maintenance.
Diagnose faults using manual and electronic diagnostic tools.
Complete repairs within allocated timeframes and according to job cards.
2. Quality & Compliance
Follow safety protocols, PPE requirements, and housekeeping standards.
Complete all documentation accurately (job cards, checklists, reports).
Adhere to company policies, warranty procedures, and compliance rules.
3. Tools & Equipment
Maintain tools and workshop equipment in good working condition.
Report damaged or faulty tools immediately.
4. Customer & Team Support
Communicate clearly with the Workshop Manager regarding job progress.
Provide technical feedback to support accurate quotations and job planning.
Assist colleagues with complex repairs or technical queries when needed.
Uphold professional conduct when interacting with customers (if applicable).
Qualifications
Grade 12
Real Seal or Trade Certificate
Drivers License
Ability to work in a fast pace environment
Problem solving and strong diagnostic skills
Process driven
Contactable references and good track record
