The Workshop Technician reporting to the Workshop Technician Supervisor, is responsible to provide prompt and effective service on customer owned actuators. The Technician will work as part of the Service team, and dependent on workload may be asked to perform site visits on field repairs. This role will involve basic maintenance, repair and testing of electric and fluid power actuators, gearboxes and valve actuation for in house service jobs. The Service Workshop Technician will support the Service Coordinator in generating, maintaining and closing of in house service tickets. There will be a close relationship with the customer, providing quotations, appropriate feedback and technical assistance and with other departments, including working with Quality, Engineering, Shipping and Sales Managers. Within the workshop, this individual will be responsible for tools, calibration of safety equipment, preventative maintenance, inventory control and overall tidiness of the workspace.
