Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Workshop Manager to join our team. The Workshop Manager will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our workshop, managing the workshop team, and ensuring efficient and effective maintenance of fleet and equipment. The successful candidate must have a valid driver's license, be able to work under pressure, possess a deadline-oriented mindset, and have a good understanding of the technical components of the job.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the workshop team, including assigning tasks, monitoring performance, and providing guidance and support.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with operations staff and suppliers to ensure smooth workflow and timely procurement of necessary equipment and materials.
  • Implement and manage a comprehensive fleet maintenance program, including scheduling and performing maintenance checks, repairs, and inspections.
  • Assist in training and development of workshop staff, ensuring their technical skills are up to date and in line with industry standards.
  • Identify areas for improvement in maintenance processes and develop improvement plans to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Ensure compliance with Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) policies, procedures, and regulations, promoting a culture of safety among workshop staff.
  • Manage stock levels and oversee the purchase of replacement parts and equipment, maintaining accurate inventory records.
  • Collaborate with other departments to coordinate workshop activities and ensure timely completion of maintenance tasks.
  • Prepare reports and maintain records related to workshop operations, including maintenance schedules, equipment performance, and inventory.
Requirements:
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Proven ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Strong technical knowledge and understanding of workshop operations and maintenance processes.
  • Previous experience in a workshop management role or similar position.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to develop and maintain positive relationships with staff, suppliers, and other stakeholders.
  • Analytical and problem-solving abilities to identify and address maintenance issues effectively.
  • Proficiency in computer systems and software applications relevant to workshop management.
  • Knowledge of Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) policies, procedures, and regulations.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and resources effectively.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
