KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Seal Reconditioning Administration
Ensure job books are completed accurately and consistently
Coordinate with sales to prepare accurate quotes within 24 hours of job assessment
Request the correct parts for each reconditioning job to avoid project delays
Monitor and uphold delivery commitments for reconditioning projects
Maintenance and Equipment Oversight
Manage the upkeep of the workshop, tools, building, and equipment, including forklifts
Ensure service schedules are followed with no overdue services
Oversee and replenish workshop consumables proactively to avoid downtime
Technical Support & Repair
Provide hands-on support for repairs, especially on die sets and other workshop-related tools
Check and sign off orders accurately and promptly
Team Supervision
Lead and supervise the workshop team, ensuring high performance, motivation, and accountability
Oversee driver performance and alignment with company processes, in collaboration with coordination staff
Manage and delegate ongoing workshop maintenance projects, ensuring visibility and timely completion
Conduct monthly team meetings with documented actions and follow-ups
Continuous Improvement of Processes
As part of ISO implementation to update, improve and streamline processes.

REQUIREMENTS
Minimum of 10 years' experience
in a similar workshop or maintenance supervisory role
Strong mechanical or technical background -
fitter and turner or similar handyman experience preferred
Proven ability to
lead and motivate a team
Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and forward-thinking mindset
Comfortable working under pressure and to tight deadlines
Strong communication and organisational skills
Matric (Grade 12) essential
Relevant technical qualification/certification
(e.g., mechanical, maintenance, engineering) - Certificate/Diploma or Trade Test advantageous
Computer literacy is essential
- must be proficient in Outlook, Excel, and Word
Experience with
Sage Evolution
would be a distinct advantage
