To provide first and second level IT workplace support services on a campus to students and employees (hardware / telecommunication / classroom technology support / servers / mobile support / printing)
Minimum Requirements
Minimum of a tertiary IT qualification at NQF-6 level (e.g. National Diploma or Advanced Certificate); plus
A and N certification
ITIL Foundation certification is highly desirable
Project Management certification is highly desirable
Duties and Responsibilities
As the
Workplace IT Technician
you will be responsible for :
Technical Support
Provide 1st level technical support to end-users
Build, configure, install and maintain both standard and non-standard hardware and software
Desktop / laptop
Mobile devices
Server - 1st level
MAC platform
Incident Management
Log and track all incidents and service requests in the IT Service Management system
Prioritise and manage multiple open cases simultaneously
Ensure timely resolution of incidents in accordance with relevant service level agreements (SLAs)
Workplace Support
Perform project responsibilities as and when required e.g. roll-out of new software and hardware technologies
User training
Manage the service delivery of outsourced technology partners
Office-move assistance (on and between campuses)
Maintain active directory for students and employees (account management)
Ensure system and data security on devices (mobile) - device encryption
